"I didn't start out as a Psychologist. That background shaped everything about the way I work, and everything about why I built this platform."
For fifteen years, I worked in manufacturing, a world built on problem-solving, practicality, and getting things done. It taught me something I've carried into every consulting room since: most people don't ask for help until the problem is already bigger than they can manage alone.
That insight shapes everything about Tools for the Tough Days.
After leaving manufacturing, I completed my undergraduate studies at Queensland University of Technology and my Postgraduate Diploma at Bond University. I've now been registered as a general Psychologist with AHPRA for over twenty years.
Correctional Facilities
Supporting people navigating some of the most complex circumstances imaginable.
AOD Rehabilitation
Alcohol and other drug rehabilitation centres and detox units for young people.
Individuals & Couples
Private practice counselling across twenty years of clinical work.
Complex Trauma & Disability
Working with people managing the most deeply held impacts of difficult experiences.
Employee Assistance
EAP provision across industries, supporting working Australians to stay well.
What I've seen, again and again, is the same pattern: by the time someone finally reaches out, they've been carrying something heavy for a long time. Life would have looked very different, the healing would have been far less painful, if they'd had somewhere to turn earlier.
That's why I built this platform.
Beyond the clinic
When I'm not working, you'll find me making music, I'm a composer as well as a musician, spending time with my family, and staying fit. I believe the same things I encourage my clients to invest in: connection, creativity, and looking after yourself before you have to.
